Bob Nickerson’s IFC journey began in 2010 when he was inspired by a Home Tour for Charity that he took as a guest. The experience was so positive that he became a dedicated docent and guide, contributing to the development of our Home Tour program in several ways. Bob and his Home Scouts teammates added more than 75 new homes to the IFC Home Tours inventory over the past three years. The IFC Home Tours are the primary engine funding many charitable programs, including Cleft Palate surgeries and various educational and social grants. Expanding the "inventory" of homes directly increases the funding available for these life-saving services. Bob was instrumental in standardizing and rewriting our fact sheets used by tour volunteers, as well as the Photo Library of all Home Tour properties. He also supports the Aid to Families of Children with Cancer (AFCC) which provides essential food, supplies and support to young cancer patients and their families each month.
Bob is assuming responsibility for the Club’s Preferred Merchant Program and looks forward to meeting and working with members and the Puerto Vallarta community to enhance everyone’s experience with the IFC. He feels very privileged to be a full-time resident of Puerto Vallarta and an IFC member. “The best thing about Puerto Vallarta is its local citizens. They are the most kind and generous people I’ve ever met, and I am thrilled to impact their lives for the better through IFC’s initiatives.”
