Eric Rude is a retired public health professional and passionate community organizer who serves as the Co-Chair of the IFC Cleft Palate Clinic Committee and also Board Treasurer of the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center. Living in Puerto Vallarta year-round, Eric dedicates his retirement to his lifelong passion for improving healthcare access for those most in need.

With a healthcare career spanning over 30 years, Eric’s diverse experience spans the private, non-profit, and public health sectors. He earned an MSW in non-profit management and community organization from the University of Denver while serving as Program Director at the Denver LGBT Community Center. He later expanded his impact to the East Coast, where he was raised, managing HIV prevention contracts for the NYS Department of Health and directing infectious disease prevention and control programs at the New York City Department of Health.

Eric proudly brings his decades of public health leadership and deep commitment to advocacy to support and strengthen the vital health initiatives impacting the Puerto Vallarta community.
